Jaipur Overview - Jaipur is located in the northeastern part of Rajasthan and covers a total

Jaisalmer Overview - Jaisalmer was established in the 12th century by the Rajput king
Rawal Jaisal, a fortress town rising from the sands of the Thar Desert of Rajasthan. Local
craftsmen used the abundant yellow sandstone to fashion the solid ramparts of the fort, as also
to carve out ornate doorways, cupolas and verandas
Jodhpur Overview - Jodhpur is a famous tourist spot with a palace, fort, and temples, set
in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. It's also known as the Blue City due to the dominant
color scheme of its buildings in old town. The old city circles the Mehrangarh Fort and is
bounded by a wall with several gates.
Udaipur Overview - Udaipur, also called the "City of Lakes" or the "Kashmir of Rajasthan," is a
major city, municipal corporation and the administrative headquarters of the Udaipur
district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in

- Birla Temple - Tradition states that a Maharaja sold the Birla family the land for the
temple for one rupee. Construction began in 1977 under the direction Ramanauj Das
and Ghanshyam Birla. It opened on February 22, 1988.
- Moti Dungri - Moti Dungri is a Hindu temple complex dedicated to Lord Ganesha in
Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was built in 1761 under supervision of Seth Jai Ram Paliwal.
The temple is a popular tourist attraction in the city and is located next to the Birla
Temple
- Albert Hall Museum - Designed by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, the Albert Hall
Museum was constructed in 1876. It was built to commemorate the visit of the
Prince of Wales, Albert Edward. The museum is a beautiful amalgam of IndoSaracenic and European architectural styles
- Hawa Mahal - It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh for the court
harem so that they could witness the royal processions and the street life. The
exquisite pink and red sandstone 'mahal' stands out for its striking architecture, and
the beautiful 'jhaali' works on its 953 windows
- Jantar Mantar - The Jantar Mantar, in Jaipur, is an astronomical observation site
built in the early 18th century. It includes a set of some 20 main fixed instruments.
They are monumental examples in masonry of known instruments but which in
many cases have specific characteristics of their own.
- City Palace - The history of the city palace is closely linked with the history of
Jaipur city And its rulers, starting with Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who ruled
from 1699 to 1744. He is credited with initiating construction of the city complex by
building the outer wall of the complex spreading over many acres
- Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal was initially constructed in the 16th century due to the
occurrence of famine in the area. The ruler of Amer built a dam for the collection
of water for the locals and hence led to the construction of the artificial Man Sagar
Lake
- Khazana Mahal - Khazana Mahal is a museum which highlights and showcases the
Journey of a Stone. It offers an experience of a unique blend of legacy of precious
stones, artistic Indian and antique jewellery.

- Amber Fort - The Amber Fort was originally built by Raja Man Singh. Jai Singh I
expanded it in the early 1600's. Improvements and additions were made by
successive rulers over the next 150 years, until the Kachwahas shifted their capital
to Jaipur during the time of Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727.
- Maota Lake - Maota Lake is located in the south of the city of Amber, about 11
kilometres (6.8 mi) from the center of Jaipur, at the base of Amber Fort. The lake
contains an island in the center, named Kesar Kyari Bagh. The island has a
saffron garden, whose plants are said to have been planted by a Maharaja in the
15th century.
- Jaigarh Fort -Jaigarh Fort is situated on the promontory called the Cheel ka Teela
(Hill of Eagles) of the Aravalli range; it overlooks the Amer Fort and the Maota Lake,
near Amer in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The fort was built by Mirza Raja Jai Singh in
1726 to protect the Amer Fort and its palace complex and was named after him.
- Nahargarh Fort - It was constructed during the reign of Jai Singh in 1734, and
was later expanded in 1868. Nahargarh, which means abode of tigers, was a
formidable barrier, defending Jaipur against attacking enemies. Within its walls, the
fort houses Madhavendra Bhawan, the summer destination for the members of the
royal family

- Ajmer-Sarif-Dargah - The Ajmer Sharif Dargah is considered to be among the
holiest Muslim shrines in India and is also a famous landmark in Ajmer. Khwaja
Moin-ud-din Chishti, the Sufi saint from Persia is enshrined here. In keeping with his
secular teachings, its doors are open to people of all faiths and religions.
- Pushkar Temple ( Brahma Ji ) - The ancient structure is about 2000 years old,
although the current structure dates to the 14th century. Pushkar has over 500
temples, some very old, but the Brahma temple is the most important among them.
Legend has it that Brahma came down upon earth to perform a yajna and chose this
site for his temple

- Jaisalmer Fort ( Living Fort ) - > Jaisalmer Fort is the second oldest fort in
Rajasthan, built in 1156 AD by the Rawal (ruler) Jaisal from whom it derives its
name, and stood at the crossroads of important trade routes (including the ancient Silk
road).
- Patwon-Ki-Haveli - Patwon-ki-Haveli, a cluster of five intricately designed havelis in
Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, is a masterpiece of architecture and craftsmanship. Built in the
19th century by the wealthy Patwa family, these sandstone structures showcase
exquisite carvings, intricate facades, and ornate balconies.
- Nathmal-Ki-Haveli - This 19th century haveli was built by two Muslim jeweler
brothers who designed their respective sections in perfect harmony. The
interior is decorated with miniature paintings and this Haveli was once the Prime
Minister's residence. Two yellow sandstone elephants guard the entrance of this
landmark Haveli .
- Salim-Ki-Haveli - Historical Background about Salim Singh Ki HaveliAt one point,
Jaisalmer was the capital of Rajasthan, and the prime minister in 1815 was Salim
Singh. He created a mansion with distinctive architecture, making the haveli a must visit place. Interestingly, the legend has it that Salim Singh was not a very nice person.
- Gadisar Lake - Gadisar Lake is an artificial lake in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. It was
built by the founder of Jaisalmer, King Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD and later rebuilt
by Gadsi Singh Bhati around 1367 AD. The lake is located about 1.5 km (0.93 mi)
from Jaisalmer Fort.
- Bada Bagh -Bada Bagh means big garden. It is a garden of cenotaphs or chhatris of
the royal family of Jaisalmer. A descendant of Maharawal Jaisal Singh, Jait Singh II,
commissioned a dam to create a water tank in the 16th century AD. This made
the desert green in this area.

- Kuldhara Village - CThe village was established in 1291 by the Paliwal Brahmins, and
was a rather prosperous community thanks to their ability to grow bumper crops in the
arid desert. But one night, in 1825, all the people in Kuldhara and the nearby 83 villages
vanished in dark.
- War Museum - Honouring India's war heroes. The Jaisalmer War Museum is a wonderful
memorial to the national war heroes. A memorial to the sacrifices made by our men in the
1965 India-Pakistan War and the 1971 Longewala Battle, this museum is situated on the
Jaisalmer military installation.

- Mehrangarh Fort - Considered as one of the most formidable and magnificent forts
of Rajasthan, Mehrangarh fort was built by Rao Jodha in the year 1459. The fort is
spread over an area of 5 km and is built on 125 m high hill in the outskirts of Jodhpur
city. There are seven gates, which can be used to enter the Mehrangarh fort.
- Jaswant Thada - The Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph located in Jodhpur, in the Indian state
of Rajasthan. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in
memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and serves as the cremation
ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar.
- Clock Tower - Ghanta Ghar in Jodhpur was built during the reign of Maharaja
Sardar Singh (between late-19th Century and early 20th Century) as a prime
landmark near the Mehrangarh Fort. The Clock was sourced from London and is
believed to be bought from the company who made the Clock Tower in London.
- Balsamand Lake - Balsamand Lake is a lake situated 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Jodhpur
on Jodhpur-Mandore Road. This lake is a popular picnic spot, by Balak Rao Pratihar
in 1159 AD who belongs to the kshatriya community. It was designed as a water
reservoir to provide water to Mandore.
- Umaid Bhawan Palace - The grandest of 20th century Rajput palaces, Maharaja
Umaid Singh of the Marwar-Rathore Dynasty generously commissioned the palace
to give employment to his famine-stricken people. When it opened in 1943, it was
considered as one of the largest royal residences in the world.
- Mandor Garden - The lord of Rathore administration Rao Chunda wedded the
Princess of Pratiharas. As a share, he got the Mandore Junagarh Fort. Sooner or later, In
1427 Mandore under the standard of Rao Ranmal Rathore who is additionally the manager
of the kingdom of Mewar until 1438.

- Haldi Ghati -The Battle of Haldighati was a battle fought on 18 June 1576 between
the armies of the Rana of Mewar, Maharana Pratap, and the Mughal emperor
Akbar's forces, led by Man Singh I of Amber.

- City Palace - The City Palace was built concurrently with the establishment of the
Udaipur city by Maharana Udai Singh II and his successor Maharanas over a period
of the next 400 years. The Maharanas lived and administered their kingdom from this
palace, thereby making the palace complex an important historic landmark.
- Pichola Lake - Lake Pichola, situated in Udaipur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is
an artificial fresh water lake, created in the year 1362, named after the nearby Picholi
village. It is one of the several contiguous lakes, and developed over the last few centuries
in and around the famous Udaipur city.
- Fateh Sagar Lake - Fateh Sagar Lake is a charming lake surrounded by hills and woods.
This artificial lake was constructed by Maharana Jai Singh in 1678 AD and it lies north of
Lake Pichola. It was later reconstructed during the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh (1884-
1930 AD) after the earthen bund (dam) was washed away in floods.
- Doodh Talai Lake - It was constructed in year 1995 by Nagar Parhisad (Municipal
Council) Udaipur. There are steps constructed to reach to the garden, as well as a separate
road for vehicles. This hillock also has the Karni Mata Temple on the top.
- Nehru Garden - Constructed in an Island at the heart of Fateh Sagar Lake, Nehru Garden
encloses many distinct water fountains resembling those in Brindavan Gardens of Mysore.
Another major attraction of the garden is a floating restaurant, in a boat shape.
- Jag Mandir - Built on the Jag Mandir Island, about 800 m south of Jagniwas, this threestoreyed palace was built by Maharana Karan Singh II in 1620 and later completed by his
son. Built in yellow sandstone and marble, it is said the king built it as a hiding place for
Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, before he ascended the throne.
- Gulab Bagh - Gulab Bagh or the Sajjan Niwas Garden is the largest garden in
Rajasthan built by king Sajjan Singh in 1850. The garden boasts an array of roses along
with orchids and expansive lawns. It also has a toy train for children, along with a small
zoo housing leopards, birds and chinkaras.

- Rope Way -It is one of the best Udaipur tourist places. The Mansapurna Karni Mata
Ropeway was built by businessman Kailash Khandelwal in collaboration with UIT in 2008.
The ropeway links the two places through a fixed grip mono cable of 387 meters and is the
first ropeway of Rajasthan.
- Sukhadia Circle - Sukhadia Circle was built in 1968 and opened for public in 1970. It has
been named after Late Mohan Lal Sukhadia, the ex-Chief Minister of Rajasthan and a native
of Udaipur.
- Chetak Circle -It is very close to several adjoining markets, namely Hathipole, Court
Chauraha, Panchawati etc. This roundabout is named after the loyal horse of Maharana
Pratap named Chetak. A real-life sized statue of that horse is placed at the center of this
roundabout, along with several decorative fountains.
- Saheliyon Ki Bari -Saheliyon ki Bari was constructed in the 18th century in between
1710 and 1734 especially for the Princess and her 48 maids who accompanied her after
her marriage with Maharana Sangram Singh so that they could also steal some pleasurable
moments during their service to the Queen.
- Vintage Car Museum -Inaugurated on 15th February 2000 by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu,
Vintage and Classic Car Museum is owned by Rana Shri Arvind Singh Ji Mewar. The
museum is the official property of the HRH group- Garden Hotel and restaurant. Lord
Montagu of Beaulieu, was the founder of the National Motor Museum in England.
- Pratap Gaurav Kendra -Pratap Gaurav Kendra Rashtriya Tirtha is a tourist spot at Tiger
Hill in Udaipur city, Rajasthan state, India. The project, which was started by the Veer
Shiromani Maharana Pratap Samiti, aims at providing information about Maharana Pratap
and the historical heritage of the area with the help of modern technology.
- Lok Kala Museum -It was founded by Padam Shri Late Devi Lal Samar in the year 1952.
The institution has a museum that exhibits collection of folk articles from Rajasthan like
rural-dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, folk deities and
paintings.
- Maharana Pratap Museum -> In 1576, Maharana pratap displayed unbounded courage and
bravery in the battle of haldighati. After the historical and decisive victory in the battle of
dewair in 1582, he led mewar state on the path of social and cultural advancement and
made chawand his capital in 1585. He left for his heanvenly abode in 1597.
